No, this isn't something taken off of Yahoo News (but if anyone can tell me how to get an article up there, I'll be grateful). Over the course of two days BoA has stolen $175 from my friend, and from what she's heard BoA has done this to other customers with accounts under $1000 as well. The last transaction she made had left her account with $4. BoA hit her with a $70 overdraft fee, putting her at -$66. Her account has no stipulations about keeping a minimum balance, so this was an illegal fee. She called her bank, and not only did they refuse to refund her the money but they hung up on her when she wouldn't take no for an answer. A charitable friend deposited $70 into her account to get her out of the negative, but then BoA hit her with another "overdraft fee." This is blatant theft from a corporate bank. I have already told my friend to seek an attorney because this is a lawsuit. If anyone here or someone you know has had their money stolen by BoA, please speak up. With multiple people this can be a class-action lawsuit. This company should not be allowed to get away with this. My mom told me that BoA lost 2.2 million dollars in their third quarter. I think I see how they're planning to make it up. Please spread the message. It's the only way to make this company pay for what they're doing. --Kleptomaniac Can Opener
Wow, it's been forever since I've posted on here. XD
So anyways, does anyone have a room for Anime Weekend Atlanta?
I'm more than willing to pay for each night I take up space (although I won't have much). I really just need somewhere to put my stuff, shower and zonk out for a few hours. I don't care where I sleep, since I can bring a sleeping bag. :) >^_^< MEOW! Wed, Oct. 29th, 2008, 06:30 pm Been a While
Yeah, I haven't posted in quite a bit, unless you count my fic journal. XD So my car is in the shop, cause the transmission is dying. I have an appointment to get my bad knee x-rayed, finally. I have a cold. ~_~ My laptop is dying, it keeps freezing and has trouble turning on sometimes. I unofficially got my GED, for anyone I didn't call to squeal to. I should get the official results soon. And here's a quiz result: Your result for The Heart Test... Heart of Gold The Heart of Gold
Independent, Idealistic, Intimate, Indulgent
You are the most loving of hearts, the Heart of Gold. You possess all the most loving qualities, intimacy, the desire for closeness, and an idealistic view of love. At the same time, you are not bound by love, and so stand on tall on your own. You know you will find love and aren't worried about not acquiring it - it is only a matter of time, and you are happy in the meantime waiting. You are the purest of all hearts, loving and self-assured, as complete and whole as a heart can be. Matches for the Heart of Gold: The Slave to Emotions The Slave to Emotions values all your ideals of love, but is more dependent on it than you are. This if okay for you, because though you're independent, you also want to be loved and being loved so much makes you happy. The Slave will definitely appreciate you for loving them, and you will appreciate them in the same way, making for a very strong match. The Heart on SleeveThe Heart on Sleeve is idealistic and intimate, just as you, but desire love and is more prone to want conflict. But being the loving type that you are, you can put up with this,k as you know their true nature, and will come to respect them for not holding back their true emotions. Your exact opposite is Soldier of Fortune. Avoid Realists, who may not live up to your ideal standards, and perhaps Explicits if they do not live up to your ideals of love, but there are few types you don't get along well with. I grabbed this from nebs66The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has signed on as a special consultant to the defense of Chistopher Handley, an Iowa collector who faces up to 20 years in prison for possession of manga. The Fund adds its First Amendment expertise to the case, managed by United Defense Group's Eric Chase, and will also be providing monetary support towards obtaining expert witnesses. Handley, 38, faces penalties under the PROTECT Act (18 U.S.C. Section 1466A) for allegedly possessing manga that the government claims to be obscene. The government alleges that the material includes drawings that they claim appear to be depictions of minors engaging in sexual conduct. No photographic content is at issue in Handley's case. "Handley's case is deeply troubling, because the government is prosecuting a private collector for possession of art," says CBLDF Executive Director Charles Brownstein. "In the past, CBLDF has had to defend the First Amendment rights of retailers and artists, but never before have we experienced the Federal Government attempting to strip a citizen of his freedom because he owned comic books. We will bring our best resources to bear in aiding Mr. Handley's counsel as they defend his freedom and the First Amendment rights of every art-loving citizen in this country." Mr. Handley's case began in May 2006 when he received an express mail package from Japan that contained seven Japanese comic books. That package was intercepted by the Postal Inspector, who applied for a search warrant after determining that the package contained cartoon images of objectionable content. Unaware that his materials were searched, Handley drove away from the post office and was followed by various law enforcement officers, who pulled him over and followed him to his home. Once there, agents from the Postal Inspector's office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, Special Agents from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and officers from the Glenwood Police Department seized Handley's collection of over 1,200 manga books or publications; and hundreds of DVDs, VHS tapes, laser disks; seven computers, and other documents. Though Handley's collection was comprised of hundreds of comics covering a wide spectrum of manga, the government is prosecuting images appearing in a small handful. Putting the case into context, Burton Joseph, CBLDF's Legal Counsel says, "In the lengthy time in which I have represented CBLDF and its clients, I have never encountered a situation where criminal prosecution was brought against a private consumer for possession of material for personal use in his own home. This prosecution has profound implications in limiting the First Amendment for art and artists, and comics in particular, that are on the cutting edge of creativity. It misunderstands the nature of avant-garde art in its historical perspective and is a perversion of anti-obscenity laws." Eric Chase and his team at the United Defense Group have been vigorously defending Handley, and scored a major First Amendment victory earlier this year when the judge found portions of the PROTECT Act unconstitutional in his ruling on a motion to dismiss. District Judge Gritzner of the Southern District of Iowa found that subsections 1466(a)(2) and (b)(2) of 18 U.S.C. 1466A unconstitutional. Those sections make it a crime to knowingly produce, distribute, receive, or possess with intent to distribute, "a visual depiction of any kind, including a drawing, cartoon, sculpture, or painting," that "is, or appears to be" a minor engaged in sexual conduct. Judge Gritzner found that those sections restrict protected speech and are constitutionally infirm. Handley now faces charges under the surviving sections of 1466A, which will require a jury to determine whether the drawings at issue are legally obscene. The material cannot be deemed obscene unless it meets all three of the criteria of the Miller test for obscenity: "(a) whether the average person, applying contemporary community standards would find that the work, taken as a whole, appeals to the prurient interest; (b) whether the work depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct specifically defined by the applicable state law; and (c) whether the work, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value." The jury must answer all three questions in the affirmative in order to convict. Eric Chase recognized the importance of the case, and of the CBLDF's contribution to it, in a statement to the CBLDF: "This case represents the latest in a string of efforts by the Department of Justice to encroach on free speech. The United Defense Group is committed to fighting to maintain the protections guaranteed in the Constitution, and we appreciate the CBLDF's support in this fight." ~*~ I'm not the only one who sees something wrong with this bullshit, right? >^_^< MEOW!
Wed, Aug. 27th, 2008, 07:39 pm Fandub Update
So in spite of multiple auditions and such, I'm probably not getting the part because I'm too southern (all those hours of practicing to get rid of it has been in vain) and my voice is too high pitch. Yeah, the 25-year-old Chinese woman can't do the English dub of a teenage Japanese girl because she sounds too young. Go figure. (I'm keeping a straight face, really I am.) On the other hand, I did get the part as Raramon in a Digimon Savers fandub! :D Go high pitch voices! Hear her here! Additional voice: Megumi - Hear her here! >^_^< MEOW!
I had so much fun doing the first audition, that I decided to do it again, but with more effort. XD ( Cut for embedded videos )Auditions submission is currently on hold until they catch up on the ones they already have, but you can bet I'll embarrass myself to the world by entering these as soon as they reopen. XD >^_^< MEOW!
Sun, Jul. 20th, 2008, 08:06 pm Yu-Gi-Oh Fandub
So there's a group who wants to do a serious fandub of Yu-Gi-Oh because we all know 4Kids did an epic fail on the official dub. I figured it couldn't hurt to audition for a part. XD The following vid is me as Anzu (Tea) and Rebecca. (Oh, words and subs don't match up because I was going more by what they said than the bad subbing. XD) Yeah, I didn't spend a great deal of time on this, mainly because it's a pain making this sort of video with MovieMaker. Honest opinions? >^_^< MEOW!
Since it doesn't look like anyone is going to add new categories here anytime soon, I'm going to go ahead and advertise this now. ^_^ Riding Duel! is a LiveJournal Community for all things YGO 5D's. Post fics, pics, discussions, etc. If it's fandom, it's allowed. There's also a regularly updated list on where to watch and download episodes. YGO Juxtapose is a Yahoo Group for all things Yu-Gi-Oh. That's right, ALL of the Yu-Gi-Oh series are accepted here whether it's Season 0, DM, GX, 5D's, R, Capsule Monsters, or the movies. You can talk, post fics and pics, fangirl/boy, whatever. XD Just have fun! >^_^< MEOW!
A little something made on the 14th for the fun of it. We all know that once 4Kids gets its evil hands on YGO 5D's, they're going to change the theme song. It's a shame it won't be as cool as this one. XD Artist: DragonForce Song: Through the Fire and Flames Full Length Version: 7 min. 24 sec. Download SongDownload VideoI do not consider this an AMV, it's just an opening theme change.
Here's hoping I'm doing this right. XD This vid is on a Japanese site and I'm not sure if the embedding works the same way. 【ニコニコ動画】【遊☆戯☆王5/D/s】もうとにかくジャック(+α)の頬を染めてみたThe best part is, you have the option of having the comments scroll across the screen and to play the vid on repeat. :D I don't know if you need to sign up for a free account first to see it though. o_o I can walk anyone through the application process if necessary. >^_^< MEOW!
Yes, I've created a Yugi-Oh 5D's community. I call it Riding Duel! It's for all things Yugi-Oh 5D's. Although I'm a huge slash fan, I figured I may as well go the whole nine yards and let all things fandom be allowed. XD I already have a member, so that's rock awesome. ^_^ You can find both my new AMV, Self-Inflicted Isolation, and my newest fic, Only Me, there. I'm going to see about making some icons for the community real quick then get on to recruiting members. I also plan to affiliate with a few groups I belong to. ^_^ I now have to get ready to leave. Mom wants to go to Stone Mountain Park today. >^_^< MEOW!

OMG! The new Ben 10 series is so cool! Ben and Gwen have really matured, Kevin 11 is hot as hell, the Omnitrix upgraded itself so it looks more awesome and Ben has new alien forms. Gwen's gotten really powerful with her magic too. And, um, yay for teenage angst! Lots of it cause they're teenagers. XD The humor has been upgraded as well. For those who want to see it, it's on at 10am on Saturdays and 11:30am on Sundays. It's currently available On Demand as well. [EDIT] I am so writing Kevin x Ben fanfiction. *GRINS* Possibly Kevin x Gwen too, maybe Kevin x Ben x Gwen. God Kevin is so cool! >^_^< MEOW!

So, I decided to watch this movie since I've never seen it before. It's unfortunate that I've been spoiled by the awesome looks of the characters in "Superman the Animated Series", but I can live with the character designs. Anyways, on to why I have to post about this movie. 1) OMG! It's bloody and death-filled as hell! O_O 2) Superman looks old and Lex doesn't look intimidating! ;_; 3) God damn, no wonder so many people think Lex wants in Superman's pants. Look at this scene: Lex - *beating Superman up in his special red sun & green kyrptonite room* Why did you leave me?! Why?! *knocks Superman over and straddles him* Who's your daddy? Yeah, enough said. XD >^_^< MEOW!
Grabbed this from many others, just spreading the word.ONE DAY CONTENT STRIKEFor one day, Friday, March 21, make no posts. Make no comments. Let there be NO new content added to LJ. SUP obviously does not realize that Basic users have given something of value to them, that it is content that drives the site. So, for one 24-hour period, from midnight GMT to midnight GMT, let's see how many people we can get to pledge to contribute NO CONTENT. This will create a permanent downward spike in the daily-posts statistics, a permanent reminder of the power of the userbase. Full information at The Fox's Den. SPREAD THE WORD! I haven't been out of bed much for the pass week because of the flu bug. So what do I find when I get back on? Another person in a position of power who wants to spread hate. Sally Kern honestly believes that being gay/lesbian/etc. makes you WORSE than a terrorist. Though how someone's sexually orientation makes them WORSE than some guy who wants to shoot me, I don't know. The following is one of the many YouTube vids of what she said: The Hate SpeechThis is her refusal to apologize: The RefusalThese are several responses to said Hate Speech: From Preacher JamesFrom Ellen DeGeneres From TuckerTucker is a teenager who lost his mother in the Oklahoma Bombing tragedy when he was a child, and he did not take kindly to Sally Kern's comparison. Please read his heart-wrenching letter. News Clips on it: News9.comTulsa World NewsQueerty.comMy response: I'm wondering how the GLBT group is worse than folks who want to kill me. I hope something is done with Rep. Kern soon. She has the freedom to speech like everyone else, but she also has a position of responsibility that's supposed to assure she doesn't abuse it. She has epically failed. For those with a sense of humor: Akmed the Gay TerroristI Want YOU to Stop Being Gay!The Ballad of Sally KernThe TRUE Threat to Society!>^_^< MEOW!
Yugi-Oh the Abridged Series is having a little contest on who can come up with the most ridiculous plot (which MUST include cards games) for a new show. XD Inspired by the new Yugi-Oh series that's coming out (Yugi-Oh 5D's) which now has transforming motorcycles. And if you thought Yugi's hair was bad... LOL! These are my three entries. XD 1) TITLE: 52 Pick-Up Aliens are invading Earth! Their weapons are highly advanced children's trading cards that become reality when activated via voice commands. They promptly start kicking butt. Earth's only hope lies in a troupe of young ballerinas who have the ability to use the alien system.. The only problem is, none of them have ever played card games! 2) Title: Project Top Duelist Form and finalize your deck. Design and model your costume. Only one will duel the King of Games. Do you have what it takes to become the world's Top Duelist? (I watch neither 'Project Runway' or 'Top Model'...honest. >.>) 3) TITLE: Traps & Treasures (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles OVA) The Ninja turtles are back in their brand new adventure! After Donatello accidentally creates a vortex in the Turtle Lair with his new teleportation device, the Turtles are sucked into the parallel world of Jan-Ken-Po. They're recruited by the local natives, the Ginnys (Michaelangelo: Dude, these lil' guys look like the Munchkins! I think we're in OZ, dudes!) , to defeat the dark wizard known only as the Vizier who has been terrorizing the Jan-Kenians. Time to kick butt, right? Wrong! Physical attacks don't work in this strange new world. Jan-Kenians have the ability to seal things (anything, even pizza) into cards. The Turtles lack the natural magic to do it, but a helpful Ginny gives them devices that attach to their arms that allow them to use Flow Cards. The Turtles will fight to free the good people of Jan-Ken-Po, and hopefully find the lost Priestess Rayearth along the way, the only person on Jan-Ken-Po who has the power to send them home! Go towards your destiny, Turtles! Card set and activated! ~*~*~*~ What do you guys think? XD >^_^< MEOW!
